  • Jetstar will assess claims for all costs arising from delays or cancellations on a case-by-case basis, including claims for larger amounts where applicable.

  • Delays or cancellations under our control include technical reasons, failure of Jetstar's IT system, delay in the delivery of baggage to the carousel due to material reasons, end of cleaning/loading of food on board, staff/employee issues.

  • According to Jetstar delayed flight policy, delays or cancellations are beyond Jetstar’s control, weather events, air traffic control issues, third party disputes, and security issues.

Jetstar flight delay compensation

Whenever you've been delayed on a Jetstar Airways flight, it's worth checking if you're entitled to compensation for your time. As per Jetstar flight delay compensation policy, if Jetstar Airways is responsible for the delay, EU rules state that passengers will owe up to £520 per person for delays of 3 hours or more. When you apply for a flight delay payment, Jetstar Airways will check the arrival of the flight at its final destination. Because for flight delay claims, your arrival time is important, not your departure time.

But there is one exception: Airlines like Jetstar Airways do not pay compensation if there is an external reason for the delay. This means that delays due to bad weather, airport accidents, or air traffic control strikes are not included in the price. These types of features are called critical features.

Under the jetstar delayed flight compensation policy, you may request a refund, if your flight is delayed due to airline issues.
